Delete Your Account
Last Updated: September 9, 2026
1. About This Page
This page explains how to delete your account for Closr+, the project closeout management app published by The Lab Architect on the App Store, on Google Play, and on the web at app.closrplus.com.
There are two ways to delete your Closr+ account: in the app, which is immediate, and by email, for anyone who can no longer sign in. Both are described below, followed by exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
2. Delete Your Account in the App
Deletion in the app is immediate and cannot be undone. The steps are the same on iPhone, iPad, Android, and the web workspace:
- Open Closr+ and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- In the Security section, tap Security — the row labelled “Change password & delete account”.
- Scroll to the red Delete Account section at the bottom and tap Delete My Account.
- A Delete Account confirmation dialog appears. It states that the action cannot be undone and reminds you to cancel an active store subscription first.
- Type your account password into the Current password field, labelled “Required to authorize permanent deletion”. This is how we confirm the request is really yours.
- Tap the red Delete Account button.
Your account and data are deleted immediately, you are signed out on every device, and the app returns to the sign-in screen. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards.
3. Delete Your Account by Email
Use this route if you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or the in-app form will not accept your password. In particular:
If you created your account with Google Sign-In and have never set a password of your own, the in-app form cannot verify you. It will reject the request as an incorrect password, because there is no password stored on the account to check against. Email us instead and we will delete the account for you.
Send an email to [email protected] with:
- The subject line Account deletion request
- The email address on the Closr+ account you want deleted
- Whether you signed in with a password, with Google, or with a sign-in link, if you remember
Send it from the email address on the account if you can. If you cannot, we will reply to the account address to confirm the request before deleting anything — we will not delete an account on the word of an address we cannot tie to it.
We acknowledge deletion requests within 30 days, and normally act on them within a few business days. Do not include your password in the email. We will never ask you for it.
4. What Is Deleted
Deleting your account removes your user record, and every record in our database that is linked to it is deleted with it, in the same operation:
- Your account record — email address, name, and sign-in provider
- Your profile — your name, job title, phone number, and company details, along with your profile photo, company logo, and default signature
- Sign-in credentials — your password, any Google or Apple sign-in link, and any pending sign-in links
- Sessions — every active session on every device, so you are signed out everywhere
- Projects — your closeout projects, including the addresses you entered, and the links between projects
- Closeout records and checklists — your closeout records, closeout checklists, and every item on them
- Punch items — your punch list items and callback punch links, together with the photos attached to them
- Closeout documents — uploaded closeout documents, their extracted text and metadata, and any document access links you created, so outstanding links stop working
- Subcontractors — your subcontractor records and their document requirements
- Lien waivers, retainage entries, and change orders
- Site logs — your daily site log entries
- Warranty items and warranty prerequisites
- Training records — your training requirements and the evidence items filed against them
- Commissioning systems — your commissioning system records and sign-offs
- Submittal reuse mappings
- Photos, documents, and other uploaded files — both the file records in our database and the files themselves in our storage, including anything still queued for storage cleanup
- Subscription records held on your account — your subscription state and the entitlement records mapping you to the app stores and to our subscription provider
Files are removed from storage first, before the database records are deleted. If a file cannot be removed, the deletion stops and nothing is deleted, so that we never lose the record of a file we are still holding. If that happens you will see an error, and you should contact us at [email protected].
5. What Is Kept, and Why
Three kinds of record survive account deletion. None of them contains your project data, your photos, or your documents.
Security and billing logs, with your identity removed
These logs are kept for security investigation, fraud prevention, and financial record-keeping. When your account is deleted, the link from each entry back to you is severed — the user reference is emptied, and what remains cannot be traced to your account:
- Security event log — password changes, session revocations, and the record of the deletion itself
- Authentication event log — sign-in attempts, and sign-in link issuance and use
- Subscription event log — purchase, renewal, and cancellation events received from the app stores, kept for tax and accounting obligations
- Data migration records — bookkeeping from our migration to current infrastructure
A deletion receipt
We keep one permanent record that a deletion happened: the date and time, whether it was requested by you or carried out by us, the number of files removed, the reason text, and a one-way cryptographic hash of the deleted account identifier. The hash is not reversible and cannot be turned back into your account, your email address, or your name. This record is what lets us prove a deletion request was honoured. It is retained indefinitely.
Records held by the app stores and payment providers
We cannot delete records held by the companies that took your payment. Deleting your Closr+ account has no effect on them, and they keep purchase records under their own policies and their own legal obligations:
- Google Play — merchant of record for Android purchases; keeps your order and subscription history on your Google account
- Apple — merchant of record for iOS and iPadOS purchases; keeps your purchase history on your Apple Account
- RevenueCat — our subscription-management provider; retains the subscriber and purchase history it holds for the account. Account deletion in Closr+ does not itself erase that record. To have it removed as well, say so in an email to [email protected] and we will request its deletion for you.
- Stripe — processor for web checkout; keeps transaction records required by financial regulation
6. Cancel Your Subscription First
Deleting your Closr+ account does not cancel a store subscription, and does not stop it renewing. Only the store that billed you can cancel it. Cancel before you delete your account, or you may continue to be charged for a service you can no longer sign in to.
- Android — open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Closr+, and cancel
- iOS and iPadOS — open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Closr+, and cancel
- Web — cancel through the web checkout account you subscribed with
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment. We are not the merchant of record on either mobile platform and cannot issue a store refund on your behalf.
7. Timing
- In the app — immediate. Your data is deleted as part of the request; there is no queue, no grace period, and no recovery window.
- By email — within 30 days of us confirming the request, and normally within a few business days.
- The retained logs described in section 5 — kept after deletion, with your identity removed, for security and accounting purposes.
- The deletion receipt — retained indefinitely; contains only a non-reversible hash of the account identifier.
Encrypted backups of our database may retain deleted records until those backups age out of rotation. Backup copies are not used to restore deleted accounts.
